Caro Bay Art - Original Paintings
In addition to my work as a shop owner, surface designer and illustrator, I have taken up painting in 2023 under my artist name Caro Bay, in order to professionally explore a passion that until recently had remained somewhat in the shadows of my other creative achievements.
After a long period of exploration, my choice naturally turned towards acrylic on canvas, in an abstract expressionist style.
I like to paint simple and repetitive shapes, in an intuitive approach, in order to find myself in an almost meditative state - I find freedom there, a creative letting go, I disconnect from everything, and my mind escapes.
A color lover, I like to play with all the possible tones and shades imaginable.
I create compositions where lines and dots come together in a colorful and happy dance for the eye that looks at them.
Rather solitary by nature, I like to create in the quietness of my lakefront home studio in Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc (QC, Canada), with my cat Cocotte by my side.
